Tallmadge is three miles east of the city of Akron and 35 miles southeast of the Cleveland metropolitan area.  The city is directly accessible from Interstate 76 or from State Route 91, between Akron and Stow.  Tallmadge is situated minutes from the main campuses of Kent State University and the University of Akron.
